Col. Ivan Ionchev

Col. Ivan Ionchev (ret.), AORA member having member certificate 21, has been in  Baghdad, Iraq since 08 May 2004. He is included in Golf Regional Division from   U.S. Army - Corps of Engineers as security consultant on guarding of Green Zone.

Col. Ivan Jonchev (ret.) graduated  from National Military College “Vasil Levski” in 1977. He has 13 years service in Bulgarian border troops. He had been senior reporter in the newspaper "166" of the press center of Ministry of Interior during the pereiod 1990-1997 and General Secretary of the National Police Tradeunion until September 2002.

He has taken part in the following 5 overseas missions: 

UNTAC /Cambodia/ Y1992-1993.

UNAVEM-III /Angola/ Y1996-1997, as team leader.

UNBIH / Bosnia/ Y1998-1999, as human rights investigator and logistics support.

UN Assessment Needs Mission in former Yugoslavia and  Kosovo, May 1999, as guard 

UNMIK /Kosovo/ Y1999-2001, as operation officer and special operations operator. 

He has been officer in the reserve since March 2002.

AORA wishes him successful service in Iraq!

Благодаря за бързия отговор.

Ситуацията в Green Zone остава непроменена, само служебната натовареност вече е 12 часа и покрива ноща. За граничар от времето, когато охранявахме границата, "за да не избяга демокрацията навън", това не е проблем. Вниманието повече е насочено върху подписването на новия контракт.

Какво ново има за СОРА? Венци ми изпрати адресите на Po.Box и много му се израдвах, тъкмо ще мога да пиша и на другите.

Как стои въпроса с гражданското увеличанието на контингента в Афганистан?
